Chances are you’re going to spend a good chunk of time stuck at home for a little while now or in the near future: whether it be due to work-at-home, school, or, in this case, cancelled travel plans. Fortunately, we live in the age of the internet. So while work and school will go on as new-normal, travel will have to adjust in even more ways than before (at least for now!). But have no fear – in this house we hoard links instead of toilet paper, and we have plenty of them. Check out our best advice for seeing the world while weathering through this mess.
Online Museums
Ok, so you’ve probably at least heard about these ones by now. But have you heard of the VAST QUANTITY of online museum resources available? No? We thought not. Nearly every well-known museum has at least some sort of virtual option on their website. But the most popular include:
- Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam
- Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam
- British Museum, London
- The Louvre, Paris
- Musee d’Orsay, Paris
- Uffizi Gallery, Florence
- Pergamon Museum, Berlin
- Guggenheim Museum, New York
- National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC
- Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, Washington, DC
- The J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles
- National Museum of Modern and Temporary Art, Seoul
- Sistine Chapel, Vatican
Beaches
